The Tulsa County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service brings up-to-date, research based information to you for life-long learning! Whether it is through 4-H Youth Development; Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources; Horticulture, or Leadership and Community Development, the OSU Extension Service in Tulsa County is here because our future is too important to be left to chance.
The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service is supported by Tulsa County, Oklahoma State University, and the United States Department of Agriculture. All classes offered from the Cooperative Extension Service are not-for-credit classes that deal with decisions that may affect individuals and families every day.  The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service is part of the land-grant system. All links from this web site are to research-based institutions and organizations.

What is Extension?
The Tulsa County Cooperative Extension Office is part of the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) and the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University. OCES is funded through a partnership between federal, state and county governments. Extension's purpose is to provide research-based information and education to help Oklahomans make their lives better. While traditional college and career tech instructors teach skills for employment, Extension Educators teach skills for living.

Why is Extension Important?
Extension is education for everyone. It plays a vital role in urban Tulsa County by providing practical information to help people improve their quality of life. Extension Educators provide programs on the environment, economic development, family life, health, nutrition and youth development. There is simply no better educational network for these basic subjects that affect us all.
