What: 4-H VOICE Meeting and Volunteer Training When: 6:30 p.m. Where: Tulsa County OSU Extension Center Who: All 4-H parents, volunteers and ambasadors are invited to attend. Bring: Your favorite traditional family dish and recipe to share in honor of the Oklahoma 4-H Centennial. Also remember to bring your reusable 4-H promotional bag filled with non-perishable green food or food with a green label. A different local food pantry benefits from this VOICE Community Service Project each quarter, and a surprise competition will be held among those that participate! Why: All 2009-20102 Tulsa County 4-H VOICE Committees will meet to work on plans for this year! If you are a certified volunteer, this meeting counts for one of the four required trainings per year to maintain your certification. You can also pick up the latest 4-H information and visit with volunteers and parents from other clubs. What: Creek Nation 4-H Goat Show Location: Muskogee County Fairgrounds Time: Entries due by 9:00 a.m. Goat show starts at 10:00 a.m. Entry fee: $10/animal, 100% payback Basic information: All Oklahoma 4-H or FFA members are invitied to exhibit. 4-H or FFA jacket must be worn to show. Exhibitors can show multiple goats. All market animals should be sheared to no more than 3/8 inch hair. There are no breeding classes but may show in market classes. Bracing is allowed but all four feet must remain on the ground when handled. Decisions of the show committee/judge are final. No protests.
